Insidious
- Medium shot of the boy - focuses on his facial expressions as well as the setting behind. Makes the protagonist seem closer to the audience. Direct eye contact which may make the audience feel uncomfortable.
- Setting is shown as it is an important part of the film, the sky is dark and eerie which is unsettling and shows something bad happens here.
- The use of low key lighting and shadows is an indicate of the genre.
- Colour scheme - very dull and dark colours used. His jumper is dark red and 'SI' in the film title is also in red, which has connotations of blood and signifies violence.
- There is writing in his eyes, which make them look different shapes which could indicate he is possessed.
