Jigsaw
I am going to be looking at the Theatrical Trailer for 'Jigsaw' and analysing the conventions of genre.
- Begins with fast pace of editing and someone screaming.
- Enhanced sound effects.
- Mise-en-scene - props such an injections, saws, and chains with are attached to the characters - indicates genre as they are torturing the characters.
- Protagonists as well as evil characters are shown.
- Non-diegetic sound of a child laughing.
- Contrapuntal music.
- Setting - a normal city (where the trailer begins), a hospital and a rooms they are trapped in.
