Insidious 2
I am going to be looking at the Theatrical Trailer for 'Insidious 2' and analysing the conventions of genre.
- Contrapuntal sound - happy music at the start to give impression everything is good, which will disorientate the audience and reflects the feelings of the characters.
- Setting - the grandma's house, by itself.
- Diegetic sound of a child's toy - creepy.
- Enhanced sound effects - shocks the audience.
- Contrapuntal sound - child's lullaby
- Non-diegetic - creepy sinister
- Fast editing at end - slows down after to allow the audience to process what they've witnessed.
