The Nun
I am going to be looking at a Teaser Trailer for 'The Nun' and analysing the different conventions of genre.
- Dark lighting throughout - colour scheme reflects the genre.
- Non-diegetic sound - creepy and sinister music to scare and unsettle the audience.
- Sound bridge - Voiceover which sounds eerie.
- Setting - Old abandoned church which may make the audience expect that something negative may happen.
- Iconography - costume which indicates the genre, as it is creepy.
- Diegetic sound - someone whispering.
- Slow pace of editing to add suspense
- Enhanced sound effect to scare the audience.
- Props - candles used as lights which indicate the era.
