Drafts of my Poster
This draft contains just the film name in the font 'Baskerville' and a photo of the dollhouse, which also features in our trailers and on our website. The font and photo will make a clear link between each part of the marketing campaign, however just the name looks too simple and won't influence people to want to see the film.
DRAFT 2:
This draft contains reviews of the film which may increase the audience to want to see the film, however it is also too simple.
DRAFT 3:
In this draft we added a non-specific release date in order to excite the audience, however this is still too simple as it looks like a teaser poster.
DRAFT 4:
Social media links and a web address have been added to this draft, in order to make it more interactive for the audience.
Production company and sound logos have been added to this draft which will influence the audience to want to see the film, if they have enjoyed previous films by the same company.
DRAFT 6:
Billing has been added to this draft as it is essential and something that consists on nearly every poster.
This draft contains the tagline, which will make a direct link to the audience between the trailers and the website.
DRAFT 8:
FINISHED POSTER:
We have added quite a few different conventions to our poster in order to make it exciting and influence an audience to want to see the film. The font used, the tagline and the photograph all create a direct link between each of the marketing campaigns which is very important. Showing on the poster that it is the same director as 'The Conjuring' and 'Insidious' will bring a wider audience if they enjoyed those films, and other films by the same director.
