The Production Company I have chosen and Why
I think that Blumhouse Productions is more suitable for my film as they produce low-budget horror films. Although they have a small budget their films are highly successful worldwide, such as 'Paranormal Activity' which was made for $15,000 yet grossed $193m and 'Insidious' which was made with a budget of £1.5m and made $87m. I think it is more suitable than Hammer Film productions as they are an older film production company, and Twisted Pictures as they create more gory horror films such as the series of Saw films.
I am also going to use Platinum Dunes, in association with Blumhouse Productions, as it is another horror production company. After researching I have discovered that films usually have more than one production company. There is usually a bigger company that distributes the film and then other film companies associated specifically with the genre that create the actual film. Both Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse Productions are horror specific production companies.
We also chose to use Universal Pictures as another one of our production company logos as it is a multi-media conglomerate, which therefore would be beneficial to us with our marketing campaign.
